These terms are an agreement between you and Dishwasher Avocado Studios ("we", "us"). They cover our mobile games, including The Press: 3D Factory Simulator, and this website (together, the "Services"). By downloading or playing our games, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
1. Who can play
Our games are for players aged 13 and over. If you're under 18, please check these terms with a parent or guardian.
2. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download our games and play them on devices you own or control, for your own fun and not for commercial purposes. Google Play's terms also apply to games you download from Google Play.
3. Playing fair
Please don't:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute our games, except where the law allows it;
- use cheats, hacks or modified save files, or tamper with the game to unlock content or skip ads;
- use the Services for anything unlawful.
4. In-game cash and unlocks
The cash, moulds, colours, upgrades and achievements you earn in our games are part of the game. They have no real-world value and can't be exchanged for money. Your progress is saved only on your device. If you uninstall the game or clear its storage, your progress is gone for good and we can't restore it.
5. Remove Ads purchase and refunds
The Press offers an optional one-time purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Google Play, and Google Play's refund policies apply. If you reinstall the game while signed into the same Google account, your purchase can be restored. If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you agree that the purchase takes effect immediately, and you understand that this means you lose your 14-day right to cancel once it's delivered. Your statutory rights if something is faulty aren't affected.
6. Ads
Our games are free and supported by ads from Google AdMob. We don't control the content of individual ads or the websites they link to. Our Privacy Policy explains how ads use data and the choices you have.
7. Our stuff
The games, including their code, art, models, sounds, names and logos ("The Press", "Mouldy" and "Dishwasher Avocado Studios"), belong to us or our licensors. Some sound effects are used under Creative Commons Zero (CC0). You're welcome to use our press kit assets for coverage, reviews and fan content, as long as you don't suggest we endorse you.
8. Videos and streams
Go for it! You can record, stream and share videos of our games, including monetised videos, as long as you're not distributing the game itself.
9. Updates
We may update our games, for example to fix bugs, rebalance gameplay, add content or remove features. Some updates may be needed to keep playing. We can't promise the Services will always be available or bug-free.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide our games "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for lost progress or in-game items. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months, or £50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you're in the UK.
11. Ending things
You can stop playing at any time by uninstalling the game. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may stop you from using the Services.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version here. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the game. If you keep playing after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protections of your local law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
