- Our games have no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or location.
- Your progress is saved only on your phone. We don't run game servers and we don't receive your save.
- The Press shows ads from Google AdMob. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland you choose whether those ads can be personalised.
- The optional Remove Ads purchase is handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.

1. Who we are
This policy explains how Dishwasher Avocado Studios ("we", "us") handles personal data in our mobile games, currently The Press: 3D Factory Simulator (working title "Mouldy"), and on this website. When we release new games, this policy covers them too, and we will add any game-specific details here.
For the purposes of the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR, we are the data controller for the processing described below.
Studio address: [registered or trading address]
ICO registration number: [if registered]
Contact: privacy@dishwasheravocadostudios.com
2. What happens to your data
2.1 Your save game (stays on your device)
The Press saves your cash, unlocked moulds and colours, upgrade levels, achievements, combo stats, sound and vibration settings, and whether you've bought Remove Ads. This is stored in the app's private storage on your device only. We don't upload it and can't see it. If your phone's own backup is switched on (for example Google's Android backup), your phone may include this file in that backup, which is handled by Google under its privacy policy.
Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage, permanently deletes your save. We can't restore it.
2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Press is free and supported by ads. From time to time, currently after every 10 products you make, it shows a full-screen ad served by Google AdMob, provided by Google Ireland Limited in the UK and EEA, or Google LLC elsewhere.
To deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising ID (the Android Advertising ID);
- your IP address, and an approximate location worked out from it;
- device and app information, such as model, operating system, language and app version;
- how you interact with ads, such as views and taps.
Google uses this data under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices
- UK, EEA and Switzerland: before any ads load, the game shows Google's consent message. You can agree to personalised ads, refuse them, or manage the options individually. If you refuse, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which are based on context rather than your profile, and uses limited data for things like frequency capping and fraud prevention.
- Changing your mind: clear the game's storage (Android Settings → Apps → The Press → Storage → Clear storage) and the consent message will appear again the next time you open the game. Note that this also erases your progress. You can also email us and we'll help.
- Any country: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads).
- Remove Ads: if you buy Remove Ads, the game stops showing ads.
2.3 The Remove Ads purchase (Google Play)
The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. Google handles your payment details under the Google Payments Privacy Notice. The game uses Unity's in-app purchasing library to receive a purchase confirmation (a receipt) from Google Play so it can switch ads off and restore your purchase if you reinstall. We never receive your card details, name or email address.
2.4 Crash and performance information
If the game crashes, Google Play may collect a crash report and basic device information through Android's built-in reporting (Android vitals). We see these only as aggregated statistics and stack traces in the Google Play Console. They don't include your name or contact details.
2.5 Emails to us
If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you and keep a record of the request.
2.6 This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for a short time for security. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address so it can deliver the font files.

4. Google Play Data safety
What we declare in the Play Store "Data safety" section matches this policy:
- Collected and shared with Google by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention: device or other IDs (advertising ID), approximate location (worked out from your IP address), app interactions, and diagnostics (crash logs and performance data).
- Not collected: name, email, contacts, precise location, photos, files or messages.
- Encrypted in transit: yes.
- Deletion: the game has no accounts and we hold no server-side data about you. Uninstalling deletes your save. See Section 7 for ad data.
5. Children
Our games are made for a general audience aged 13 and over. They are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has sent us personal data, for example by email, contact us and we'll delete it.
6. International transfers
Google may process ad and purchase data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Google relies on recognised safeguards for these transfers, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how it's used, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
- Your save game: it's only on your phone, so you're fully in control. Clear the game's storage or uninstall it to delete it.
- Ad data: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings, and use the consent options above. Because Google holds this data as an independent controller, you can also make requests to Google directly at Google Data & Privacy.
- Anything else: email privacy@dishwasheravocadostudios.com. We'll reply within one month, and it's free.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) or your local data protection authority. We'd love the chance to sort it out first, though.
8. Security
We keep data to a minimum: no accounts, no game servers and no data we don't need. Data sent between the game and Google is encrypted in transit.
9. Changes
If our games change how they use data, for example when we release a new game or add a feature, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you in the game.
